At Flatiron School, our mission is to enable the pursuit of a better life through education. Through our outcomes reports and the incredible Career Services team we've developed, students can see our unwavering commitment to everyone who steps through our doors. Flatiron School succeeds when you succeed, which is why we’re proud to announce that 100% of graduates of our inaugural Washington, D.C. Software Engineering Immersive cohort accepted a full-time salaried role in less than 3 months! The first graduating class was 7 students.

Our Washington, D.C. graduates have accepted roles in myriad industries and organizations, including non-profits, cybersecurity, and e-commerce. Each graduate got a full-time salaried position and accepted an offer within 64 days of job-seeking.

Every Immersive student spends 15 weeks preparing themselves to change their careers. Students train to become software developers using real tools to solve real problems.
nce students approach the end of their cohort, they're paired with a dedicated Career Coach. Our Career Coaches are experts who are working for the students and working to guide them to a career that matches that passion. Sometimes that’s in the form of a mock technical interview, or workshopping a resume. Other times it’s a few words of encouragement.

Or Career Services also actively building business relationships in every Flatiron School city. Every day they work as champions for Flatiron School graduates and the value offer to a company. We’ve already noticed an incredible demand for tech talent in Washington, D.C., and that will only grow with the arrival of Amazon's HQ2 in National Landing.
hough all of this, students are working hard to change their lives with code. It’s challenging, but the student experience is a rewarding one. It’s a great start for our Washington, D.C. students and we’re excited to see future success for D.C. grads.
