Our Cybersecurity Analytics program is your direct path to a career as a cybersecurity analyst. Our immersive curriculum includes eight foundational courses, extensive hands-on skill training, and guided product training from seasoned instructors who are industry professionals.

Our immersive Cybersecurity Analytics course is taught by veterans of the cybersecurity industry. This immersion lets you start your cybersecurity career in months instead of years.

Unlike traditional education methods, 50% of our courses are reserved for hands-on lab time. Learn to set traps and catch threat actors through real-world lab environments using our state-of-the-art Cyber Range, a sandbox where you can safely explore, track, gather, break, and build things.

What you'll learn: cybersecurity analytics
Over 12 intense weeks at Flatiron School, our Cybersecurity Analytics curriculum will prepare you to handle rapidly-advancing threats. You’ll set traps and catch threat actors with our real-world lab environments paired with industry-grade curriculum. You’ll learn the analytical skills needed to stand out from the competition. Our Cybersecurity Analytics program includes 8 foundational courses designed to prepare you for success in the cybersecurity industry.

Students will be exposed to network security, protocols, and attacks, which are foundational concepts to cyber careers.

Foundational to a cyber career, you will learn basic skills in system security, desktop OSs, and service configuration.

You will learn to anticipate threat actors through the psychology of analysis, criminal psychology, and threat intelligence.

This module spans the course and will teach security monitoring, threat identification & response, and crisis management.

Learn to effectively work with teams and tools while learning threat identification, surveillance, data, and tracking.

We will teach you threat intelligence, creation, and consumption, which are absolutely core to an analytics career.

You will learn to engage the enterprise, deliver system security, and develop plans and policies.

Through a culminating capstone project, you will demonstrate applied knowledge from all of the Cybersecurity Analytics modules.
Your day at Flatiron School
Our full-time Cybersecurity Analytics program is in session 5 days per week for 12 weeks and follows a block schedule. We employ a unique instructional architecture that maximizes instructor interaction and lab exercises. Our lab times let you engage in hands-on learning on key topics during lecture portions of the class. Most classes will meet twice a week. Each class is a half-day in length with a lunch break between classes. Throughout the Flatiron School programs, you’ll progress through longer “foundational” courses concurrent with shorter, domain-specific topics.

Your cybersecurity instructors
Great teachers inspire us to connect with topics on a profound level. Industry experience alone doesn’t necessarily make someone an effective teacher –– that’s why we’re passionate about finding people who possess extensive cybersecurity experience and are also deeply committed, experienced teachers.

Dustin has experience in analytics, cybersecurity, and engineering. He previously worked as a security analyst, qualifying ,and quantifying cybersecurity risk for informed decision making. He has a particular interest in cybersecurity education for organizational governance, growth, and innovation.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Jelani began his career in the nonprofit sector. After rising through the marketing and fundraising ranks, he decided to switch gears and begin working in the startup world. After helping a few smaller startups, he joined Flatiron School in February 2019.

During the technical review, our instructors will learn more about your overall technical background and you will have the chance to get to know our instructors and their teaching style.
