Our flagship program. Since 2012, we’ve been teaching students full-stack Javascript and Ruby and helping them launch careers as web developers at companies including Google, Facebook, Spotify, Apple, and many more.

Lizzie Redman
Lizzie Redman
New York Market Director

Lizzie’s work at Flatiron School ensures that students, no matter their background, can change their lives through education. Before joining Flatiron School, she served as Executive Director of the Bubble Foundation, a wellness organization that teaches nutritional education in underserved schools.

Jelani Thomas
Community Lead Marketing

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Jelani began his career in the nonprofit sector. After rising through the marketing and fundraising ranks, he decided to switch gears and begin working in the startup world. After helping a few smaller startups, he joined Flatiron School's Access Labs in February 2019.

Frequently asked questions

Is Software Engineering the only program available for Access Labs?

Yes. Access Labs only hosts our Software Engineering bootcamp. For information about our Data Science and UX/UI Design programs, visit our Flatiron School NYC page.

Is the curriculum the same for Access Labs as it is in Manhattan?

Yes. Access Labs boasts all the same curriculum, instructional format, and outcomes as the Manhattan campus, and features tuition deferment for qualified students.

What hours do we have access to the campus?

Because our campus is specially built inside a WeWork, you have 24/7 access to the building while you're a student.

Do you need an Apple computer as a student?

Yes. We exclusively use Apple computers for our Software Engineering program. You can find the require computer specification here. If you don’t have a laptop, you can borrow one from us for a refundable deposit.
