About This Event
Join one of our Lead Data Science Instructors, Praveen Gowtham, and take a peek behind the curtain of modern recommendation algorithms. Learn how data scientists use your preferences and history to offer you product suggestions on a platter for your consumption.
Speaking of platters and consumption, we will be honoring National Creme Brûlée day by building a dessert recommender system. Join Flatiron School for some fun acquiring and wrangling user dessert preferences and a step-by-step walkthrough building a recommendation engine.
What You’ll Learn
- A dessert craving you didn’t even know you had before you showed up.
- The general principles of recommendation algorithms.
- Modern deployment frameworks used by the likes of Etsy, Netflix, etc.
Who is this event for?
No experience is required to attend this workshop! If you’ve had some experience with Data Science in general, there is still a lot to learn from this workshop. This is a no-strings-attached opportunity for you to gain technical knowledge and find out if Data Science is something you’re passionate about.
Just show up, and learn something new.
Note: This is an in-person event at Flatiron School’s NYC Campus 11 Broadway, 2nd Floor New York, NY 10004
