Dear Flatiron School Community,

As 2019 kicks off, I want to say thank you for being part of our Flatiron School family. To the thousands of students and incredible alumni in our community, thank you for inspiring us with your career transformations and your drive to change the world. You’ve helped us build the school of the future. And to all the aspiring software engineers, data scientists, and UX/UI designers in our community, we can’t wait to help you start changing in 2019.

2018 was a year of incredible growth for us at Flatiron School. We announced eight new campuses (!!) and started teaching Data Science and UX/UI Design, in addition to Software Engineering. We also released a new outcomes report, and are proud to continue transparently reporting on every immersive graduate’s success after Flatiron School (See full report here).

As I look back at this time of growth, I know that embracing change is at the heart of it. When the world changes, we have to change too. So for us, we’re dedicating 2019 to continuing to grow and develop, and we hope you will too.

If you’re feeling stuck or bored, and ready to change your life, it’s not too late to begin. We have helped thousands of students from all backgrounds invest in themselves to start new careers, by learning online or in our growing number of campuses at WeWork locations around the world.

I'd love to hear about how you plan to change things in 2019. Use the hashtag #ChangeThings and tag @FlatironSchool and @aviflombaum and let us know how you hope to change things for yourself this year. We’d love to help, and we’re just getting started.

Avi Flombaum

Dean of Education
