2020 brings big things for Flatiron School alums: new jobs, new industries, and new opportunities! We're celebrating the new decade by connecting with some of our alumni to hear how their lives have changed since Flatiron School, their plans for the next decade, and their hopes for the future of tech.

Flatiron School alum Steven studied data science online before moving to San Francisco. He pivoted from pharmaceuticals to fintech, and is loving his new life in San Francisco. He's focused on the future—of tech, data science, and his career.

How has your life changed since graduation from Flatiron School?
Since graduating from Flatiron School, my life has changed significantly because I transitioned into an entirely new industry. It feels refreshing with so many new and exciting learning opportunities, and it is rewarding to be able to see and measure the impact of my work.

What was your proudest professional moment in 2019?
My proudest professional moment of 2019 was definitely getting a job in the fintech industry, something that I have been very passionate about breaking into!

What are you looking forward to in 2020?
In 2020, I am most excited for continuing my professional growth by continuing to learn and I am also excited to begin taking on more responsibilities at work.

What excites you most about the future of tech?
I am most excited about seeing what new fintech products that will bring banking to more underserved people and new technologies in deep learning that will be more inclusive of everyone!
