Flatiron School is entering a new era of leading tech education, introducing a new leader at the helm. Meet our new CEO, Kate Cassino!

Kate Cassino comes to Flatiron School with experience as an edtech executive, and a diverse background of leadership experience, including as CEO, President, CIO, and head of Product Development and Sales within Fortune 500 and mid-market private education and technology companies.

Kate is a native New Yorker, where she earned her teaching certificate and sparked her passion for education. During her time in the New York City school system, Kate began to notice the inequities within public education, and she dedicated her career to work in the education sector in a way where she could impact change.

“Flatiron has established an unparalleled model for making technology careers accessible to individuals, including those in traditionally underrepresented groups,” says Cassino. “I look forward to helping Flatiron continue to graduate individuals who will look back on the experience as truly life altering.”

Kate earned her B.A. in English and Education from Columbia University, Barnard College and completed an Executive Education Program from Columbia Business School. She has a  teaching certificate in New York City where she taught, early in her career, at the Martin Luther King Jr. High School.

“Flatiron School is an incredible company that makes a positive, life-changing impact. I’m excited to build on the inspiring vision our founder, Adam Enbar, set 10 years ago to enable the pursuit of education,” says Kate. “I spent most of my career in education, so I appreciate how special it is to contribute to an organization like Flatiron School that is helping people in such a profound way.”

We are honored and excited to see Kate bring her experience growing and scaling businesses so Flatiron School can continue to help people change their lives through careers in tech.
