It’s been a whirlwind year here at Flatiron School, full of successes, challenges, and a whole lot of growth – and there’s a lot to look forward to in the future. Ahead of Thanksgiving, I wanted to take a moment to share what I’m thankful for as a programmer, teacher, and entrepreneur.
Our students
… who are taking a chance on themselves to learn a new skill and pursue their passion. (Hey guys, be sure to take a break for some turkey tomorrow!)
Our alumni
… who are making names for themselves across tech, and come back to Flatiron School to share what they’ve learned on the job with the next generation of grads (and sometimes hire them!).
Our team
… who never stop pushing themselves to innovate and create better experiences for our students.
Our partners
… who join our mission to rethink education and increase accessibility to our programs so more people can change their lives through code.
Finally, I’m thankful that I get to do what I love every day
… as my job! I get to help people truly learn to love code – which changed my life and continues to change the world in bigger, fascinating ways. (If you haven’t tried it for yourself, what are you waiting for?) Learn, Love, Code // <3Avi FlombaumDean & Co-Founder, Flatiron School
