Flatiron School Welcomes Peter Barth as CEO

We’re excited to announce the appointment of Peter Barth as Chief Executive Officer. A pioneer of the coding school/bootcamp industry and veteran technology and education executive, Peter takes over the helm of Flatiron School with more than two decades of experience leading education and human capital organizations at the intersection of education and work.
“I’m honored to lead Flatiron School, and our mission is very personal to me. I’ve had four family members graduate from Flatiron School or The Iron Yard and find new fulfilling careers in tech, and I’ve witnessed firsthand how meaningful this change has been not only for themselves but for their families.,” says Peter. “Adam and Avi, the Flatiron School founders, built this company on commitment to innovation, opportunity, and genuine love for the communities we live and work in. I’m thrilled to carry that torch forward.”
Peter has played an instrumental role as Chief Product Officer and later as Chief Operating Officer at Flatiron School since 2018. Prior to Flatiron, he was Founder and CEO of The Iron Yard, the largest code school in the industry at the time. Over the last 12 years he has led teams that have launched 38 campuses across North America and Europe and helped tens of thousands of students change their careers.
