Achieving diversity in tech continues to be a struggle – from Silicon Valley to New York City and beyond – even at some of the most widely-respected companies. At Flatiron School, we’ve worked hard to increase the accessibility of our coding education and bring more students from diverse backgrounds and locations into a industry that needs new voices. In an effort to build a more diverse developer community in the immediate future, we’ve partnered with Stack Overflow to launch the TechConnect Scholarship. This scholarship fund cuts monthly tuition for our Online Web Developer Program in half (to $750/month) for women, minorities, the LGBTQ community, as well as anyone who may feel isolated from the tech community in other ways, such as those living outside tech hubs.
