About This Event
Curious about data science and how it can be applied to real-world problems? Join Flatiron School for an introductory Data Science workshop! In this session, you’ll see what’s possible with data science as we build a simple content-based recipe recommendation system using Streamlit. Watch as we create an app that suggests recipes and lets you search based on ingredients you have at home.
We’ll use existing datasets and even some GenAI-generated recipes. This demo will show you the power of data science in action without diving into complex technical details. By the end, you’ll have access to the live app we built together.
If you want to code along with our instructor, have your code editor of choice ready to go (we recommend VSCode!) and a way to install Python packages.
Together, we’ll learn:
- How to code a content-based recipe recommendation system
- Real-time app development with Streamlit
- How to search for recipes by ingredients
You will receive a Zoom meeting link by email prior to this session.
We look forward to seeing you there!
