About This Event

Join us for Becoming Tech, a four-part series designed for Flatiron School’s community of change-makers. Led by our Student Advising team and featuring guest presenters from our own student and alumni community, this series delves into crucial aspects of the tech journey and addresses common challenges faced during a career transition.

Communication is key in any profession. In the “tech space”, we have to consider occasion, style, and intention in our interactions. This event aims to provide strategies and support to help you gain confidence in communicating more effectively on the job.

Together, we’ll:

  • Learn strategies to communicate clearly when networking and presenting yourself and your work to others
  • Understand the importance of a growth mindset and how to leverage it to overcome challenges and setbacks.
  • Introduce and expand on current communication methods to fit setting, time, and occasion.
