Flatiron School has been named an educational provider and talent developer for OneTen, an organization that works to upskill, hire, and promote one million Black Americans, over 10 years, into family-sustaining jobs with opportunities for advancement.

Included with this designation, Flatiron School received a $50,000 grant from OneTen to be used towards a charitable cause that supports diversity efforts that align with the OneTen mission.

Flatiron School is pleased to offer the OneTen Tech Scholarship, which will be awarded to Black individuals who do not have a four-year degree, because we are committed to making life-changing education possible for individuals no matter their background. We believe in supporting more diversity in tech — diverse experiences make better teams with more creative viewpoints.

The OneTen Tech Scholarship includes 10 partial scholarships of $5,000 and is available for applicants of all disciplines — cybersecurity, data science, product design, and software engineering — and pacing options.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Must identify as Black
  • Must not have a 4-year degree
  • Must successfully complete the application process
  • Must be selected by the scholarship committee

If you or someone you know wants to get the training to start a new career in tech, apply for the OneTen Tech Scholarship.
