Clarke College: A New Kind of Work-Integrated Bachelor’s of Computer Science

‍We’re excited to share the launch of Clarke College’s groundbreaking new Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science designed from the ground up to integrate real-world work experience into every student’s academic journey.

‍Clarke College’s new degree program is the result of a close collaboration between FlatironClarke, and Woolf, a global collegiate university that enables innovative institutions to offer accredited degree programs under a unified regulatory framework. Together, we’ve built a work-integrated learning model for higher education that combines industry-relevant curriculumhands-on apprenticeship experience, and academic rigor—all with the goal of preparing students not just to graduate, but to thrive in the fast-changing world of technology.

A Smarter Path to a Tech Career

‍Students begin the program with a full-time, four-month immersive, based on Flatiron’s globally recognized model for technical education, designed to rapidly develop core skills in software engineering and professional problem-solving. After the immersive, students continue their coursework part-time while working in a tech apprenticeship for the remaining 2.5+ years of the program.

‍Every student is also matched with an industry mentor who provides personalized guidance throughout the program. These weekly mentorship sessions help students navigate challenges, build professional confidence, and expand their network as they grow into their roles.

Preparing for a World Transformed by AI

‍Artificial intelligence is changing how work gets done across nearly every industry, and reshaping what it means to build a career in tech. Today’s engineers need more than static knowledge of tools and languages. They need adaptability, applied experience, and the ability to build and collaborate in an AI-driven world.

‍Clarke College’s model is built for this reality. By combining strong computer science fundamentals with real-world application and mentorship, graduates are equipped not just for today’s jobs, but for the future of the industry.

Choose a High-Growth Specialization

‍The program offers three tracks aligned with some of the fastest-growing areas in technology:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Cybersecurity
  • Data Science

‍Courses are delivered online and designed to support working learners. Students build their skills through hands-on projects, collaboration with peers, and continuous integration of what they’re learning into their real-world roles.

Real Experience. Real Results.

‍By the time they graduate, students will have:

  • A Bachelor’s in Computer Science from an accredited university
  • 2.5+ years of professional experience in the tech industry
  • Weekly mentorship from an experienced professional throughout the program
  • A proven track record of applied learning and contribution

‍This combination of academic strength and on-the-job experience helps Clarke grads stand out in a crowded hiring landscape—while also reducing financial pressure, since many students are able to use their earnings from the apprenticeship to cover some or all of their tuition.
