George, a part-time Online Software Engineering student in Detroit, balances his learning schedule with his day job as an attorney. Take a look into one of George’s typical days:

George’s Daily Schedule

6:00am – 6:30am: When I wake up, I quickly browse my email for any pressing issues that need to be done immediately and then read the news.

6:30am – 7:00am: I get some morning cardio in before starting the day. Afterwards, I shower and get ready for work.

7:30am – 8:00am: Before heading into the office, I review items for the day’s meetings and any upcoming deadlines at work.

8:00am – 5:00pm: I spend the day at work. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I go to the gym for an hour at lunch for weight training and mid-day exercise.

5:00pm – 6:00pm: At the end of the workday, I wrap up by creating and assigning tasks and deadlines that arose from the workday, then head out.

6:00pm – 7:00pm: Once home, I prep dinner and take calls with partners on the west coast.

7:00pm – 8:30pm: After wrapping up the last of work calls, I eat dinner, catch up on reality my favorite reality TV shows, and spend quality time with my spouse and cat.

8:30pm – 11:30pm: I settle in for the evening to work on Flatiron School lessons and projects.

11:30pm – 12:00am: After working through lessons, I get ready to go to bed and read for a bit.
