About This Event

Ok designers, rise, and shine, and don’t forget to join Flatiron School for our monthly product design series!

In this second episode we’ll continue designing software for a great learning experience. We’ll turn our focus to the UI layer and how to represent a user’s learning journey visually. We’ll deconstruct inspiring examples of different types of data visualizations.

You’ll leave with a *slightly* (hey, it’s only an hour) better understanding of:

  • Why a *very* basic understanding of psychology will drastically improve your UI designs.
  • Why a fundamental principle of information design is “1 + 1 = 3 *or more.*”
  • How to use data to inspire and motivate, instead of misinform and manipulate.
