About This Event

Considering a career in tech? Join us for Coding at Any Age with Flatiron School instructor Nancy Noyes. This beginner-friendly session is designed to debunk the myth that coding is only for the young or those with prior experience.

Come and hear Nancy share her own journey transitioning from Wall Street to tech after 18 years, highlighting how age is not a barrier to success in coding. We’ll discuss why people pursue career changes into coding and discover the key factors that contribute to success in the tech industry. Plus, get hands-on experience with a short coding exercise in Python to showcase the practical skills needed to thrive in a tech career.

Together, we will:

  • Understand that age is not a barrier to learning and succeeding in coding.
  • Gain insights into the motivations behind career changes into the tech industry.
  • Acquire practical coding skills and the mindset needed to embark on a successful tech journey.
