Program Details

Flatiron School’s curriculum delivery combines location flexibility and small class sizes to maximize learning.

  • Cohort size of approximately 20 learners
  • 40-hour program over a 5-day period
  • Remote or in-person instruction

Over 5 days of instruction, participants will learn the basics for implementing the following topics in your organization’s cybersecurity:

  • Networking Security
  • Application Security
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance
  • Security Information and Event Management
  • Cyber Threat Intelligence

At the conclusion of the program, participants will have foundational knowledge in:

  • Computer networking, common network devices, and OSI model threats
  • Identity and access management (IAM), including knowledge of LDAP and Active Directory (AD)
  • Vulnerabilities and the purpose of red, blue, and purple teams in securing an organization
  • Governance, risk, and compliance, including familiarity with NIST and ISO frameworks.
  • Internet of Things (IoT) and operational technology (OT) security risks
  • Cloud computing and security threats to cloud deployments
  • SIEM tools and logging
  • Cyber threat intel, including MITRE ATT&CK and the Diamond Model
