Career Choice is a workforce development program, designed to upskill and retrain Amazon employees who are interested in pursuing a future outside of Amazon. Amazon issues tuition vouchers to eligible employees, and pays tuition towards a certificate in qualified fields, with the goal of obtaining in-demand jobs outside of Amazon.
In 2021, Flatiron was selected to be a training provider for the Amazon Career Choice program and deliver two courses: (1) Cybersecurity; (2) Software Engineering. These two courses launched in February 2021 and are scheduled to complete on October 15, 2021. Each of these immersive courses contained over 400 hours of content and provided graduates with the skills to be successful in entry-level technical roles.
