Apprenticeship
Over the last 10 years, our alumni have been our greatest ambassadors. Now we’d like to reward you for it.
If you refer your employer or another company, you’ll receive $500 when an apprentice is hired.
Connect the company to our team at hire@flatironschool.com. If the company has no pre-existing relationship with our team, and meets the qualifying criteria, then the referral is eligible.
How It Works
Alumni connect Flatiron with a company from their genuine, pre-existing professional network that they believe would be interested in hiring Flatiron students or graduates for an apprenticeship.
The referred company must be a new contact, meaning it has not previously partnered with, inquired with, or hired through Flatiron’s placement programs.
The referred company enters into a formal apprenticeship agreement with Flatiron and onboards at least one qualifying student enrolled in a Flatiron Immersive program.
The placed student remains actively employed for a minimum of 60 consecutive calendar days from their start date.
You provide Flatiron with required paperwork, including your mailing address and a completed W-9 form.
Flatiron issues your $500 referral fee within 30 days of the qualifying period concluding.
Details
The $500 referral fee is issued per placed student for qualifying placements made within a 12-month period starting on the date of the referral introduction.
The referral fee amount and payment method are subject to change prior to a referred company submitting a formal inquiry to Flatiron’s apprenticeship program.
Flatiron makes the final determination on whether any referral qualifies and is not obligated to provide reasons if a referral does not qualify.
Referral fees are subject to verification, and Flatiron may delay payment for purposes of investigation.
