Flatiron School, the NYC-founded coding bootcamp, is coming to Dallas-Fort Worth. Joining Atlanta, Brooklyn, N.Y., Chicago, Denver, Houston, London, U.K., Seattle, and Washington D.C., Flatiron School’s Dallas campus will be the school’s tenth location outside of its Manhattan flagship campus. As of today, students can apply for a seat in Flatiron School Dallas’ 15-week Software Engineering Immersive beginning in May 2019. Flatiron School's brand new Dallas campus is being built at WeWork's Victory Plaza, and is expected to open in early summer 2019. Until then, we’ll host the community at our temporary campus at WeWork’s Thanksgiving Tower.“

According to the Dallas Regional Chamber’s 2018 Dallas-Fort Worth Regional Innovation Assessment, between 2011 and 2015, Dallas-Fort Worth created more than 40,000 new tech jobs. However, to fill the demand, the metroplex gained 22,560 new tech workers from outside the region. According to Flatiron School’s most recent job outcomes report for the New York City campus, between August 2, 2015 and Dec. 31, 2016, 97% of the job-seeking students for which information was available accepted full-time salaried, full-time contract or apprenticeship, or part-time job offers.Between the Flatiron School alumni already working at top Dallas-Fort Worth companies and local students currently studying with Flatiron School online, the new campus will give area students a strong base of support and guidance as they start their journey into tech careers. “I could see the demand for talent in tech, but wasn’t sure how to leverage it. Flatiron School gave me the opportunity to bridge this gap and land a fantastic job as a software developer at Citi,” said Dallas-based Flatiron School alumni Will Scripps. “For me, in addition to the flexibility of learning online at my own pace, the most valuable aspect of Flatiron School was the guidance and career coaching offered by the team, which helped me to put my newly acquired skills to good use at Citi.”
The announcement of Flatiron School’s Dallas campus is the latest example of Flatiron’s enormous growth since becoming part of the WeWork family in October 2017. Since joining WeWork, Flatiron School has been given the space to grow and leverage WeWork’s global footprint to expand educational access to students around the world. Throughout this global expansion, Flatiron School remains connected to local education and startup leaders in every one of its campus communities.
